Alexandre Lacazette has joined Arsenal fans who are urging Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to sign a new deal with the Gunners.
On Monday, reports in France claimed that Aubameyang has received an offer from Arsenal to extend his contract, which is due to expire next year.
Arsenal face a key decision in the upcoming transfer window as they run the risk of losing the 30-year-old on a free next summer if he fails to agree a new deal.
Barcelona and Chelsea have both been linked with a move for the striker, who has scored 61 goals in 97 appearances since joining the Gunners.
But Lacazette has now led the calls for Aubameyang to commit his future to Mikel Arteta’s side.
In a post from an Arsenal fan account on Instagram which referenced Aubameyang’s contract offer, the caption read: ‘Don’t let us down, @aubameyang97. Sign the ting.’
And Lacazette has supported the message by liking the post. Speaking in March, Arteta was adamant that he is keen to keep Aubameyang at the club. ‘For me it is very easy,’ said the Arsenal manager. ‘I want to keep him under any circumstances.’
