Wolves have had an opening offer of below £20million rejected by Arsenal for Ainsley Maitland-Niles as the Gunners hold out for a bigger fee.
Wolves have had an opening bid of £15m for Ainsley Maitland-Niles rejected by Arsenal.
Talks between the clubs are ongoing and Wolves are expected to go back in with a higher offer, with Arsenal thought to want at least £20m.
The 22-year-old is attracting attention from a number of Premier League clubs this summer, including Tottenham Hotspur, but Arsenal have rebuffed Wolves’ initial bid for the player, according to The Athletic.
The publication claims two clubs in Germany are preparing offers for Maitland-Niles, who has been identified by Arsenal as one of the players they can let leave this summer to fund other transfer moves.
It is claimed that Arsenal want at least £20m for the 22-year-old, who started in the FA Cup final win over Chelsea and has played more than 100 senior games.
