Latest rumours including Coutinho, Ceballos and Aubameyang

Arsenal will look to clinch some silverware at the weekend when they take on Chelsea in the FA Cup final at Wembley.

The Gunners finished a disappointing eighth in the Premier League table as they missed out on a top four finish once again.

However, they will be hoping to close the gap on their rivals with some activity in the summer transfer window.

One man on everyone’s lips is Philippe Coutinho, and his agent has added fuel to the fire by insisting his client wants to return to the Premier League.

Elsewhere, Dani Ceballos’ form under Mikel Arteta has seemingly convinced Arsenal to push ahead with a move to keep the Spain midfielder in London, but he won’t come cheap.

While it is unclear whether the Gunners would prefer another year’s loan or a permanent deal, El Confidencial claims the latter will set the club back €30million (£27m).

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s contract saga continues to rumble on, but Arteta is hopeful of a positive conclusion.

We will bring you the latest news and rumours throughout the day.

Cantwell could move to The Emirates
Norwich star Todd Cantwell is expected to move on after the Canaries were relegated from the Premier League.

The 22-year-old was one of the standout performers for his side in his debut season in the top-flight, and is hopeful of securing an immediate return.

The Sun report that Arsenal are among the clubs keen on a transfer.

Agent in talks over Nandez deal
The agent of Nahitan Nandez is said to be in discussions with Arsenal over a potential transfer this summer.

As reports Corriere dello Sport the Cagliari midfielder could be set for a switch to the Premier League after an impressive debut season.

West Ham showed an interest in Nandez back in January, though he is currently being touted to Arsenal and Chelsea, with his release clause set at £32.5million.

As it stands there is no indication whether Chelsea or Arsenal are interested in the player though.

Chelsea prepared for Willian exit
Chelsea are thought to be bracing themselves for the impending exit of Willian – and are expecting him to move across London with Arsenal.

The Brazilian forward is out of contract after the two sides meet in Saturday’s FA Cup final, and has five offers on the table.

One of those is believed to be an extension from his current club, but The Guardian state that Willian will turn it down to join The Gunners.

Guendouzi on his way?
Former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell feels Matteo Guendouzi has played his last game for the club and will move on this summer.

The French midfielder’s future is in doubt after falling out with boss Mikel Arteta and has been linked with the exit door at The Emirates.

“I think he’s on his way out to be honest,” Campbell told Sky Sports.

“Arteta has a certain discipline within the squad that he wants to adhere to and Matteo Guendouzi stepped outside that and there doesn’t seem to be any reconciliation between the two.

“Guendouzi seems to be very headstrong and has been training away from the team.

“It’s not going to get any better so I think it’s best for all parties that Matteo Guendouzi got sold.”

Gunners given Coutinho boost
Arsenal have been handed a transfer boost after Philippe Coutinho’s agent said the player is targeting a return to the Premier League this summer.

The Gunners have reportedly emerged as front runners to land Coutinho, who has also been linked with Chelsea, Tottenham, Leicester and Newcastle.

But his agent Kia Joorabchian said the former Liverpool star will not make up his mind until after Bayern Munich have been knocked out of this season’s Champions League.

Ceballos asking price set
Dani Ceballos’ form under Mikel Arteta has seemingly convinced Arsenal to push ahead with a move to keep the Spain midfielder in London, but he won’t come cheap.

While it is unclear whether the Gunners would prefer another year’s loan or a permanent deal, El Confidencial claims the latter will set the club back €30million (£27m).

According to the Spanish publication, as translated by Sport Witness, Ceballos is keen on a Real Madrid exit to make sure he gets sufficient game time to put himself in contention for Spain’s European Championships squad next summer.

Coutinho ‘has three options on table’ including Arsenal
Philippe Coutinho’s future is expected to be resolved soon, according to Spanish outlet Sport.

The Brazilian playmaker is understood to have rejected a first offer from the Gunners but has now informed the club he would like more time to make a decision over his next move.

Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea have all decided against signing the 28-year-old this summer.

But Arsenal, Tottenham and Leicester remain in the race for Coutinho’s signature, and he is now pondering a U-turn which would see him leave Barcelona to move to the Emirates.
